We practice a fairly traditional style of worship, consisting of a call to worship, prayer, responsive reading of Scripture, singing of hymns and songs ancient and modern and occasional special music performed by individuals. We us piano and guitar as accompaniment. We emphasize congregational singing and we consider preaching of the word as part of worship.

Calling all who are interested in brain storming songs to bring to the congregation. We will be hosting a "ensemble group" on the second Sunday of every month. Our goal is to provide members with a fun, informal opportunity to practice their skills and fellowship around God-honoring music. It is open for anyone who plays an instrument or sings and who wants to be involved in specials. Beginners and children are welcome, however, minors must be accompanied by a parent. Bring an instrument and a hymn or spiritual song to share with the group! The meetings will take place 15minutes after the conclusion of the Sunday worship service, in room 1, and will last no longer than an hour. Please no food or drinks. An entire service is dedicated to the communion. We gather at tables, sing, have a time sharing praises, a 20 minute message on a communion theme and participate in the bread and cup. New members are introduced during our communion service. No meal afterwards.

We are the women of SGBC, ages 16 years old and up who meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month from September through May. We have a retreat annually, we do baby/wedding showers, Mother/Daughter Tea, hikes and coffee times! We have a book that we study (approved by our Elders) which we use for 2 years and every December our lesson is on prayer, brought to us by one of our ladies.
